Houston or Texas maybe, but Louisiana chances are nil if that section ever gets built unless it is tolled.
Heck even extending I-49 to New Orleans is a pipe dream. At least portions of it are near interstate standards like between Raceland and Morgan City and Patterson to New Iberia. Those future 49 corridor signs have been up for over 20 years. It is time for the state to do something on the eastern end. I know Laffy has or had some work done around Ambassador Caffery and the Albertsons interchange, but the state could make some progress on Raceland to 310. If that section can be completed, DOTD can sign some of the eastern portions as I-49 to at least Morgan City once it is connected to the interstate highway system.
