what are the stats/side effects from going to tractor supply and getting Ivermectin?

I can’t say. I’m not a vet so I won’t put out info that I’m not fairly certain about.

I would go see a doctor and ask them to prescribe it as a prophylactic. Some people were supposedly ordering online. I have used Ivermectin for years. I personally have had no issues with it. That being said, it is supposedly used as part of a cocktail with doxycycline and zinc (and early on). I had a doc on here state that it had no impact. However, he said that Ivermectin (whatever variation of drug cocktail used) was administered in a hospital setting. My understanding was that this treatment plan is early intervention / at home type stuff.
If you are sick enough to be hospitalized, it certainly seems as though you are past the point when Ivermectin might be effective.

In short, his observations were after the phase when Ivermectin is supposed to have its greatest impact (if at all...depending on who you believe). I can say this, if I test positive, I will be using that cocktail. Hopefully I won’t have to. I know Covid can be deadly. My only reason for not getting vaccinated at this point is to find out if it is something that would benefit me. The lack of information concerning reinfections is truly quite frustrating.

Good for treating worms and topically for head lice.

Might be why it makes some folks feel better.

Agreed.

The issue for those not wanting the vaccine isn’t some random poster, it is / are mandates to get them. It is a dystopian nightmare to think that many will be faced with losing their job and livelihoods.

My hot take on this is that the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are really good at preventing Covid from killing you and are generally safe.

Caveats are:

1. I think there may be issues with the vaccines for people with auto-immune disorders but they are probably short-term. Right now it is taboo to even talk about it.

2. It's possible the vaccines are an abject failure at the overall goal of stopping the virus. The virus continues to spread amongst the vaccinated and even though it is protecting us for now, eventually it will mutate and it may not protect us any longer. A new vaccine will be needed and so on.

3. They probably should have rolled out Ivermectin wide-scale to the whole world while we worked on getting the vaccines out to 3rd world countries and people that are hesitant. Most would take ivermectin. Its cheap and easy to distribute.

4. It seems silly to try and force kids to get the vaccine at this point. I would need to see evidence that the virus is truly dangerous for children with no pre-existing conditions. It may be the case, but I just need to see hard proof.

edit: I took the Moderna vaccine.

I supposed the people crying about being allowed to make your own risk/benefit analysis and informed choice are not happy with your informed choice. Interesting.

Of the 601,000 people allegedly killed by Covid, 28,000 are under the age of 50

Please take that fact from the CDC and behave accordingly

It’s interesting that Non-vaxers now get as angry as vaxers get over opposing opinions.

Our country is screwed.

If someone doesn't have what is it rosacea? Would taking this cause harm? I also heard it mixed as a cocktail.

I agree with the lack of information. I am not as trusting of these things as most because of a faulty medical device that the FDA was paid to lie about. I respect your discernment and reasoning for hesitancy.

I used it for a while for rosacea, but it was topical (Soolantra).

At this point it’s safe to say that these mRNA vaccines are pretty incredible. The technology and mechanisms are sound, and they can be adjusted on the fly to account for mutations.

You read the hype pamphlet word for word, I see.

You do you , but as for me, I'm waiting for a few years before that new pharm-tech stuff is truly tested.

Good luck.

LINK

Have you checked your antibodies?

Reinfection is very rare and reinfections, even with delta, are mild.

But I'm sure your up on all the research

Your link provided some good info.

In short, prior Covid provides about the same defense as a vaccine, neither are perfect (100%) and the protection varies from person to person.

quote:

Antibodies are our ticket to preventing even mild infections. T cells and memory B cells quietly live in our lymph nodes and spring into action upon being reexposed to a pathogen. T cells can recognize many different parts of SARS-CoV-2 (at least 57 locations), not just the spike protein that has made so many headlines. T cells are critical in attacking the virus and preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death. Also, a recent report evaluating previous SARS-CoV-2 infections found that memory B cells produce new antibodies that can recognize the new variants and their mutations upon exposure to the pathogen. Because of the complexity of our immune system, the vast majority of reinfections — even with delta — are expected to be mild.

The emboldened portions were worth noting imho (provided the source is trustworthy).

Now, if EG would back up his analytics claim with some legit, localized data, that would be handy.
