Well played sir.
But seriously, yes men seemed to have gotten bigger overall, BUT so have women and easily much MORE so than men.
Growing up I saw few overweight women. Now, you cant go anywhere without see a bunch of BIG girls.

If that happened, how would we be able to pick out the undercover Feds?

Amen brotha.
I have never been fitter than I have during the lockdowns. I cancelled my gym membership, converted my garage into a gym and worked out like a mad man thinking that some day I will have to fight for my family.
Get your arse in the gym with the mentality that someday you will have to fight for your family. Be a leader and don't puss out.
Put down that donut. Get on the treadmill, do some burpees, push-ups. Lift some weights. Have some self-respect for your God-given body. Anything other than laying around watching YouTube videos all day.
And for crying out loud, put down that bottle.

My hs aged nephew may have to choose between choir and swim team. I told him to stick with swimming. It’ll create good physical habits that will stick with him his whole life.

I’m seeing a lot of positive results from my scrote tanning regiment. Never felt so alive.

Somewhere Mingo just smiled, kicked back and lit up a cigar.

Obesity affects you physically, mentally and emotionally.
Also exercise. minimum 2.5 hours of moderately+ strenuous workout cardio per week. use some weight training.
importantly, do all of this consistently.. IE make it a real lifestyle

Sugar...it is the insidious villain.
Turns people into addicts, destroys brain and liver function and makes people soft.

What is mind-boggling is how you fat Americans chug a 64oz. container of soda like it's water - sometimes several of them during the day.
It's revolting.

I don't, once a month or so I have a coke zero...
I drink coffee, unsweet/hot tea, fizzy water, bang and occasionally whiskey
No sugar.

quote:it's funny because the original meaning of dad bod was NOT a fat guy. it was a guy who probably works out/is active/plays sports but also drinks beer and eats pizza so he doesn't have abs.
AKA the whole "Dad-Bod" movement
somehow that got turned into being 25 lbs overweight and sedentary

Excellent.
For those who are considering, here's a fun fact - by cutting out soda completely out of one's diet, one can instantly lose at least 5 lbs - not to mention the amount of savings in medical bills later on.
That one is a no-brainer.

Maybe this should be posted in the Rant, every SEC game I've ever been to is populated with the thousands of elephant men gorging on ribs and 12 beers.

Soda is just bad in general.
When I quit I tried to drink iced green tea and while I liked it I missed fizziness.
Hopped on the seltzer train but even a few of those leaves my stomach a mess.
I don't think we're meant to be drinking carbonated drinks all day. I mostly moved to liquor on game days and don't drink anything but coffee and water the rest of the time. I do miss beer but listening to my body ... it wasn't good for me.
I've never been fat in my life and have lifted since I was 13, but I guarantee you it's all about your diet. If a fatass asked me for my advice it wouldn't be "get to the gym" it'd be "throw everything in your kitchen in the garbage and meet me at the grocery store."
