His attorney asked Rudy for the data or laptop, sounds like Rudy has a copy of the HDD and the FBI has the HDD. I'm guessing the contents are far worse than what has been released so far for the shop keeper continuously trying to take the laptop off his hands.

I think you're right. If the dude had any sense he would've paid the repair bill so he could regain possession of that atomic bomb....I mean....laptop.
His goose is cooked now. Although, I have a strong suspicion that Deep State Swamp Rat Christopher Wray and the corrupt FBI are going to come forward at the 11th hour of the Presidential campaign and blame the whole thing on the Russians.
As soon as President Trump wins reelection he needs to focus on cleaning up the FBI, which will require much more of an effort than simply firing Wray.
