How soon before Gowdy is mentioned as a possible 2016 Presidential candidate for the GOP?

Within 2 days of last November? You know, when this press conference was held...

We need to have an expectations thread at some point. Let's put everyone on record as to what they're expecting and what will constitute a "successful" investigation.

I agree

What else are we trying to figure out in all of this?

an indictment?
a resignation?
crucifying Hillary up in to the 2015 campaign season?

Are there objective standards to what will constitute a successfull investigation by the committee?

I would be satisfied if someone just admitted they used the video as an excuse

Why?

He seems like a capable lawyer to me.
Not to you?

Why?

The people at the compound that night were citing the video/insult to Mohammad. Ansar al-Sharia cited the same the next day. AQAP and AQIM issued press releases days later citing basically the same.

With all of that, what are you going to think?

Because compared to the sack riding Obama fanboys they are amateurs.

It is funny if you think about it.

There is not a scintilla of evidence those "people at the compound" were ACTUALLY at the compound.

Let's just say I'm not particularly impressed with the guy.

I find him prone to theatrical outbursts based on factual and sometimes legal misunderstandings.

Maybe he can keep it under control this time, we'll see.

If I am a CIA operative, I am going to think AQAP and AQIM are two of the least reliable information sources on the planet. I am going to think before I remotely consider stooping to that standard, I'm damn sure going to interview my own eyewitnesses.

What is the testimony of the latter???

Explain what you mean by "evidence" because there were definitely people at the compound that night citing the video/insult to Mohammad.
