It is interesting to hear about all of the theories on the origins of life today

being discussed in the mainstream media - from the possibility of ancient off-world alien civilizations to the idea of humanity being stuck in a computer simulation (really), but soon as the idea of God, an intelligent designer is presented - it is immediately rebuffed as fairy-tale, silly and absolutely preposterous.
Clown world. And by the way, my uber-great grandfather was an ape who preferred Chiquita bananas as his staple source of sustenance.
Never mind the Cambrian explosion, nor the 2nd law of thermodynamics because it doesn't apply when natural selection is at work and when you have billions upon billions of years for dust particles to magically come together in the form of an extremely complex human being with a fully autonomous central nervous system, and nevermind where the dust particles came from in the 1st place because you're not allowed to ask that question here.

I still can not fricking believe I was banned for nearly 9 months one time years ago for arguing about the ban on religious topics that had completely been spawned from our desire to have discussions about evolution on this board.
Now, it's like it never happened.

It is truly amazing people can look around at the earth and up at the stars and not at least acknowledge there "could" be a higher power.
I for one, believe 100% God created the Heavens and Earth.

Welcome to life post 2020. Anything goes.

I think it is possible for God and the big bang/evolution to coexist

Things are interesting here in the simulation.

I mean, am I taking crazy pills or something? You've been around forever too...am I making this up?
10+ years ago when evolution was a big topic, we used to have HEATED debates here all the time. Debates about religion usually spun out of all of them. People that wanted to be in them were, and those that got triggered by them complained...and eventually won and I was told directly by Chicken himself that he didn't want religious topics on the board any longer because all they did was cause fights.
Is this not how you remember it?

I don't know how God created the universe, but I would agree this is a possibility.

Well it's generally the people that think men can not only get pregnant but can also have abortions.

These other ideas also include a form of intelligent design and a designer no? These alternatives just seek to more clearly define God imo.

Fairy-gods from ancient books aren't really compatible with the premise of alien life.

Life on earth was created by an alien teenager (in our years) named Bob. It was his science fair project. He got a C+. He will be taking down the display in the year 3000 when he graduates.

I have alot of theories. We all do, we'll never fully understand it. Some of them don't include God, but none of them outright dismiss him as a possibility. FTR, I do believe in God, and I know he is the creator, my only questions really revolve around the millions of years before Christ.

What do you mean? Even if you take the Bible literally, word for word, how does it dismiss alien life? And are not God, angels and demons extraterrestrial/interdimensional beings?

I don't see it that way. Rather, I see it as the world's way of circumventing God as in "okay, we finally admit that there is some component of an intelligent design here but we refuse to concede to the possibility that that intelligent designer is God Himself."
Let's try aliens instead.

It's probably the HEATED the caused the issue. Some people are capable of discussing this topic intelligently, some aren't. The ones who aren't typically drag it into HEATED territory.

You assume that when you say God that everyone understands that word/concept the same. I have no idea what God or this intelligent designer is so I and others think its fascinating to explore the possibilities. What does God mean to you?

NOTHING BUT lies and the power of suggestion for the coming Deception of "Aliens from Space" and mass delusion of an atni-Christ that "saves the day."
The Script is going just as planned. All Hollywood "muh-Aliens!" and "All-Powerful Masters of the Universe!" movies & TV shows were NOT just entertainment. They were/are...Predictive Programming all along.

BINGO!
Most of us have surely noted the constant aerosoling of the skies during the last 20 years? (aka Chemtrails); Besides blocking the sun and spraying life with toxins, they also happen to provide a fantastic medium for creating holographic images in projecting whatever frightening "threats" tControllers can imagine.
Gonna be all fun & games during next few years.
