It is important to keep Wuhan or China in the name of the virus

If this did come from the wild animal market, a huge spotlight needs to be shown on the disgusting and barbaric practice of eating living wild animals. Furthermore this opened my eyes to the actual "dog meat festival" that they hold and how disgusting of a culture this is. It is not racist to call out the need to change their culture that puts the whole world at risk.
Its the Wuhan virus. Own it.

You call it barbaric and disgusting to eat living wild animals. How is that different than hunters in the US? We hunt and eat wild animals all the time.

WE don't let them hang in an open market for days before WE ingest them. Can't remember the last time I had Bat soup.

That are considered safe to eat. There are animals considered not safe to eat, just like plants. It's pretty simple actually to know the difference yet some people disregard that simplicity in the guise of culture.

You also don't realize when I say they eat living animals, that they many times skin them alive, or even bite into (the smaller) creatures while they are still living. Many have a thought that the more pain, the more tender the meat. They aren't hunting and killing. They are holding them to consume them in ancient barbaric ways.
Oh and then theres the part about catching a virus.

Ok, that I agree with. That stuff is absolutely messed up. I don’t think the virus part would be affected by that though. Mind you, I agree it makes sense to keep the name Wuhan in the virus. I have no issue with that. I was just asking about your comments on wild animals as I wasn’t sure where you were coming from.

Crawfish and lobsters support your concern.
I also suggest you never visit an abattoir.

Sorry jumped the gun.
The "wet markets" are basically every type of animal you can think of, even endangered animals, which mostly are living animals which are consumed raw. The virus would certainly be spread through this practice.
The dog thing was a separate horrible thing I stumbled upon. I love dogs and I can't unsee what I saw. They are not humanely killing these animals. As I was saying before there is a belief that the more pain, the more tender the meat becomes.

Are they alive when you eat them or do you cook it?

Absolutely right. The important lesson to learn from this (aside from the value of aggressive quarantines to prevent the spread of disease) is that we should never be trading partners with third world barbarians, let alone allow the means of production critical to our survival to fall into their hands.
To win a war against the United States the Chicoms would simply have invalidate contracts under a force majeure clause and stop sending us antibiotics.
The judeo-christian culture of what used to formerly be the Roman Empire is superior to that of China, of India, of Islam. That's something we need to be proud of and spread so that others can have the quality of life that we do instead of eating dogs, bats, and rats.

Even if it didn't, the barbaric practices should be shunned and it is still not racist to say that. I don't know where it came from, but I would be able to see someone picking up something from wild exotic animals eaten raw.

Catfish and lobsters don't have the same CNS or pain receptors that a dog has.
