In case you didn't know it, Israel is a socialist state. btw, I offered an article yesterday by Gilad Atzmon, a British Jew who offered a lot to think about when it comes to the Israel situation.

Because Jews believe what they believe and do not care what the rest of the world thinks. They run their country the way they want it ran.

If that’s a premise it’s yours, not mine. I said nothing of the sort.
It took us a grand total of five posts to get to:

The better question is why are American Jews such big pussies compared to their Israeli counterparts?
If we can’t narrow our perceptions of a huge, diverse swath of people to something a little more precise than “all of them”, there’s no point in having a discussion. No one is going to piss into the wind to have an adult conversation with someone not operating in good faith.

In case you didn't know, I was born and raised in a socialist/communist country. Israeli 'socialism' is a dream compared to what my family experienced in our communist 'utopia.'
Ask a Jew from eastern Europe about socialism, not a Brit.

Dixon
It's an article of faith on td that all progressive are pussies. True give and take is unlikely if it requires them to look at reality is it is. Tribal attitude.
A recent post of mine got this as reply
Queer progressive.
No actual logical substance.
Ad hominem.
It's up to chicken admins to enforce guidelines.
Go ahead and RA next time you see tribalism and ad hominem without logic.

We can make generalizations to advance the discussion. If you have a more precise description of the situation, then share it.
I love how everyone is expected to he perfectly surgical and never too general when discussing Jewish issues. Another impossible condition on the topic of discussion. It's like the "Guess Your Weight" carnival trick you people keep running over and over.

They already have socialism, as much as you want.
Large areas run as locally socialist economies.
270 of them. $8 billion in production. About 9% of the economy.

Israel started as a socialist nation but liberalize around the 1970s or so. Startup Nation is a good read.

I spent some time in Yugoslavia when Tito was running the country...it was like everything was gray, boring...individuality was not really appreciated...not my cup of tea!

Anything less than “American Jews” is surgical precision? Seriously? And who the frick are “you people”? Let me guess, because I don’t talk about giant groups of people as one big homogenous clump I must be a progressive. You clearly don’t know dick about me but you’ve already created a “you people” category for me. But I know, finding out more than one position anyone holds is neurosurgery. We can’t all be brain surgeons. Plus I’m just playing some carnival game of ring toss or skee ball or some-such other bizarre analogy.
“Why are American whites so greedy?”
“Why are American children such counts?”
“Why are poliboard posters such bigots?”
“Why are SEC sports fans such morons?”
I’m sure all of those statements would be met and understood as generalizations made to advance the discussion and not gross over generalizations that all but grind it to a halt.

The Mossad is pretty effective in some areas.

A country having to fight for it's survival as a country (having a common enemy) brings people together.
That's not being proven true here in the states.

I disagree. I will give an example, from my personal experience. "I can remember WWII, the rationing, and cousins mot coming back. We were a VERY unified country at that time. Fighting for survival as a county seems to do that to you." (I've posted this here a couple of times before.)
Now it's your turn to defend your post. Got any specific examples?

They make their share of mistakes. They tried to poison a Hamas leader in Amman in the 90s. The whole thing went wonderfully wrong.
They did manage to get the target, but part of the team was captured in the process, and several were forced to hold up in the Israeli embassy.
Israel was obliged to provide an antidote, and release some sixty prisoners, in exchange for their freedom.
And there was the fiasco in Dubai that exposed the identities of 26 agents.
They’re not perfect.

That's not what I said. I said perfect surgical precision is required to even have a conversation about it, and every caveat under the fricking sun must be applied in the process.
Here you are, kvetching about a generalization concerning American Jews like your mom's cancer treatment depends on it. It's absurd. Jews are apparently the only group on planet earth that cannot be generalized about, lest old man Dixon come in to make sure everyone knows that "not all jews are like that" and that anyone talking about a Jew anywhere is an antisemite.
So, like I said, if you wanna deep dive into the cracks and crevices of American Jewish society, feel free. I'll be sure to forward you any conversations about other groups that are likewise too generalized. We were talking about Muslims and Mecca the other day, may have mentioned Christians and Christmas too. Probably a bit too general for your liking

Having your kids come home from the mall in body bags because Muslims on a regular basis has that effect on a country.

The Jews that settled Israel or more or less orthodox.
They care about their heritage and Believe in God
The Jews that have stayed in the west are mainly secular.
