Is this the trade off for gun rights?

I am a soft gun rights supporter for 2 reasons
1. We should not let any constitutional right be infringed unless by legitimate methods I .e. Constitutional amendment
2. The guns are already out there. Can’t realy put the toothpaste back in the tube, can you.
But realistically there are lots of countries with mentally ill, gay marriage, violent video games, that have moved to a more secular culture, that have a breakdown in the family home, that have a breakdown of “traditional values” that are more liberal and socialist than the US, and most don’t have anywhere near the gun deaths we have.
The main different here is access to guns.
Is this just realistically something we have to consider is a trade off for our right to bare arms?
This thread got way off base: the general answer seems to be not only are you willing to accept gun deaths but you’re willing to cause gun deaths for the 2nd Amendment.

Why don't you ask people from these countries how they feel being oppressed by their Government bc they have no way to fight back......I'll stand by.

You’re kidding yourself if you think you have the means to take down the US military. The only way the US Government is losing a civil war is if a large portion of the military defects.

Exactly, these countries may not have the "gun deaths" statistic but at the same time you get thrown into jail in these countries for hurting other people's feelings.
Do you think such laws would exist if the populace was armed?
