Is this a good time to discuss the “Uni-Party”?

The spate of constitutionalist decisions coming almost entirely from Republican appointed justices has me thinking this would be a good time to revisit whether there is “no difference” between the two dominant parties. Serious policy discussion and frothing-at-the-mouth rants about cabals are all welcome.

The difference is that one Party is openly advocating for the destruction of the Country and jailing people for their Politics.

The other Party is half-filled with spineless cucks .

While at the very TOP of the Party we might see overlap, the rank and file are very different.

To wit, Democrats hate America, Republicans are trying to save it (despite the RINO's in the Party).

My political philosophy is most closely linked to that of Rand Paul. We're both libertarian. If both parties are the same then why didn't he register as a Dem instead of GOP?

'Congress is more divided than ever'
and
'Both parties are the same'
are contradictions.

At the end of the day, they are both driven by their own selfish interests, and not by what's in the best interest of the country.

They're not the same. One party is willing to lie, cheat, and infest the opposing party with plants to get whatever they want, while the other party just sits back and lets it happen....over and over.

That's describing politicians, not parties. All politicians are driven by making a lot of money and getting re-elected as well as the high of having power.
But uni-party is a stupid concept. If you are truly a believer in uni-party then you should vote GOP half the time and Dem half the time.

If you want to see real redundancy in parties look at the Dems and the US Communist Party. Check out their site at CPUSA. Their policy positions are identical to the Dem Party.

Right, but that's not being the same. That's a problem with degrees of ideology. Zach is WAAAY to the right of the GOP. But they are way to the right of the Dems.

Discussion thus far has me thinking perhaps this is not the best time to elicit “Uni-party” assertions. ??

Are we here to absolve the Bushes? The GOPe betrayal and fracturing didn't happen because Clarence Thomas can't be controlled?

Eh, I think both parties are destroying the country.

Democrats on purpose out of spite, hatred, evil, stupidity, self enrichment and personal power; Republicans on enablement out of weakness, fear, spinelessness, self enrichment and personal power.

I just think people at the top are the same.

Mitch and Biden are buddies. There really is no difference in these two that have been at the wheel longer than ive been alive. they both need to get the frick out and enjoy their cash they stole from us taxpayers.

Need another name? Cheney

Exactly.

Alito was the one thing Bush got right.

It doesn’t come close to making up for the massive, irreparable damage he wrought on the country, all the blood and treasure he wasted, all the destruction he spread around the world like a monkey fricking a football, or how he massively expanded government size, power, and control, or how he spent like a drunken sailor, or how he forever shredded the Constitution forever with mass warrantless spying of Americans, rights we will never get back absent war or collapse of the country.

Exactly. I often think these idiots spouting uni-party garbage are actually democrats. How many conservatives were fooled into staying home and not voting by this garbage. "I won't vote because they will just steal the election. I won't vote because the candidate doesn't think exactly like me."

I’m not saying you’re wrong, but why is this word so prominent with the political talk crowd?? I’ve never understood the obsession to be honest…
