If thing goes down the drain, they will get blamed for it.
I'm not sure what to think. I just hope they have a backup plan for whats gonna happen.

I think trump knows his biggest 2020 risk is healthcare, so he has to attempt to fix it and Obamacare is too bad to fix

Democrats win every emotional argument. Republicans do not know how to respond.

Risky move my arse. Everything was just fine prior to obamacare and there weren’t billions dying in the streets. Those bums that didn’t want health insurance still had free health care. Those same bums STILL have free healthcare but only now I’m paying WAY more for their free healthcare at my own expense since my employee provided health insurance costs have risen BECAUSE of that shite sandwich that is obamacare. I absolutely HATE that no good bastard, obama, with my whole being for many things but especially for what obamacare has done to those of us that actually work for a living and pay taxes. That one of many reasons I hope that useless l son of bitch is somehow found guilty of treason and has to pay the price for treasonous acts.

Short answer: Yes

Democrats ran on only a few big themes in 2018 to win the house and healthcare was near #1

Makes you wonder why the GOP didn’t fix it when they had both chambers right after the election. It’s almost like they don’t have a plan

It hurt the republicans because they failed to deliver on the promise. It had zero to do with dem plans.

Medicare for all is extremely unpopular when people are told details of it.

This is a categorically dumb thing to bring up one day after the Mueller bomb. The democrats now have a talking point to disctract everyone. Their dismal behavior over the past two years should not fade so quickly behind "take away my health care" talk.

My only question about this is one thing: does this mean preexisting conditions are not covered if this goes through? A friend of mine's wife is about to have a baby that won't survive past the age of two without thousands upon thousands of dollars of medical expenses. (I think it was in the ballpark of $500k) His girl's condition was considered preexisting before ACA. He's a pretty hardcore Trump supporter and Republican, I'm not 100% sure what the Republican's angle on this is but:

ETA: I guess it makes sense from a survival of the fittest standpoint though. My friend can't afford this and will probably end up homeless if he tries to pay for it... but the girl would have never survived before the 80s, so maybe she shouldn't anyways?

Also, after year two the issue usually heals up and she will be able to live a pretty normal life (if she can make it that long)

Just because the law is struck down doesn't mean insurance will automatically stop covering pre-existing conditions.

It is likely many plans will keep that feature.

How do you define a pre-existing condition?

I'm not a savvy Politico like so many here..and could be totally naive to needed timelines on said subjects..

But, If I were Trump, I'd win 2020, before dealing with Obamacare, and also Venezuela..in keeping with promise to get boots home..no Neocon warhawking.

If the GOP continues to bury their head in the sand on their epic healthcare failure they are in trouble.
