Is the shutdown debate just a diversion?
Posted by BFIV on 1/21/18 at 2:16 pm13
Interesting how this shutdown blame game and DACA surfaced just as The Memo" was starting to get some legs and headlines. What is in that memo that the Dems so desperately want to hide? When the shutdown is resolved, will The Memo quietly have disappeared? I'm think, yes, it will.
Maybe you should keep up with things more closely. DACA and the looming shutdown associated with it have been linked together since September when the last CR deal was struck with congressional leadership and Trump.
The Memo talk only has been gaining steam in the last few weeks as the shutdown loomed and as the Muller probe suggested links between Trump and money laundering.
Plus your reasoning makes no sense. If the memo is so damaging to the Dems why would it just disappear? If there is no memo talk after the shutdown ends, it is just proof that the GOP used it to try to divert attention to Trump caused the shutdown by reneging on his statement that he would accept whatever deal the bipartisan group decided on immigration.

My thoughts exactly....the Dems got all they wanted to keep the govt running, and DACA is not up till March, yet they still voted to shut everything down....they are deflecting from the memo issue and trying to provide a new cover story..the memo release should wait till the shut down ends or it will get buried...obvious is obvious.
They are shitting their proverbial pants that the memo story will begin the release of a truth that it will destroy Obama's legacy and the Dems future...
