The radicals want a world where no one should get ahead of anyone else. everyone is equal. The government controls all and gets more perks than the average citizen.

Sound familiar? I feel like this has a name...

The usually line... all of the laws passed benefit the top. I don’t think she said we should outlaw billionaires lol

Is the application of Socialism morally defensible from historical perspective?

This is easy. Yes. Wealth is not finite. Jeff Bezos having hundreds of billions does not necessitate anyone do withhout.

If a person has a lot of money and doesn't want to share most of it, you might be offended by that, and the person with a lot of money might tell you to GFY. Both of you have the right to do that in this country.

Abortions at 8 and 9/10 of a month are not defensible... yet they try to defend it.

Counter-question: What will society lose if becoming a multi-billionaire becomes impossible?

typically peole who legitimately ask this question have no concept of wealth, stock ownership, income, and how those massive sums were acquired

Wealth is finite but in terms of wealth distribution you should expect to see some pretty extreme outliers (i.e. the multi billionaires)

I think what he meant to say is that wealth isn't a zero sum game. (i.e. if you don't have as much money as you would like it has nothing to do with someone like Bezos or Gates)

Why any billionaire would support the current Democrat party is puzzling to me. They've gone so far left and want to tax financial success out of existence. If I was a billionaire, why the hell would I donate money or support the campaign of members of a party that want to impose a 70% income tax on me?

The irony of it all: Multimillionaires pretending to be on the side of the sheep who suffer from envy.

Bigger irony: The side that screams "Nazi" at the drop of a hat whose main benefactor is a billionaire who collaborated with the Nazis.

Greed isn't morally defensible but I'm not sure that most of these people are in it for the money.

A lot of the genuinely love creating products and services that people want.

when we are dealing with stock valuations, printing/inflation, and markets, there isn't a finite amount

now if we're dealing with the value of tactile commodities on earth? sure. but that's not what's being discussed

Jeff Bezos doesn't have $150B in wealth because he owns $150B in tactile commodities, or hell, any sort of corporeal property

There is no “ wealth pie “. Wealth is created. That there are still holdouts like you who use 19th century Agrarian economic models in the tech age is bad enough. That you would celebrate your economic ignorance with an emoji, feels almost like a board suicide. You just committed intellectual sepuku, but I’m afraid you may linger for awhile, unaware you are basically intellectually deceased.

and power over their companies. i keep explaining this on social media to communists but they won't listen

Jeff Bezos wants to have enough shares to maintain power over Amazon. if they were worth half as much, he'd still want that. if they were worth 10x as much, he'd still want that. you cannot separate the estimated value of that stock from the ownership/power it gives the owner

You’re asking if we put a cap on earning, what would go wrong? Do we really need to answer that?
