Is Paul Manafort really going to prison for the rest of his life? Seems harsh as hell

Doesn't that seem like an extraordinary punishment for failing to fill out some paperwork and tax fraud? In't our legal system supposed to commit to proportional punishment? seems like a few years in prison + massive financial penalty that remunerates the gov't for the taxes he owed is enough justice.

Murderers, serial rapists, and people like madoff deserve life, not someone who didn't fill out paperwork.

Trump will probably pardon him in 3 or 7 years but yah it sucks. Especially considering if Hillary had won nothing would have happened to him.

Not sure of some of the other people rumored to be investigated by Mueller, but I wouldn't waste any tears on Manafort. He ain't a white hat.

Doesn’t Al Sharpton have some issues with taxes too. Shouldn’t he be facing some sort of penalty?

He deserves to be richly penalized for the money he kept from gov't. That seems to be the fairest punishment.

His only true crime was helping bring down Crooked Hillary.

Federal sentencing guidelines are not as flexable as state. I would not be suprised if Trump bails him out.

Dude's a POS and while his crimes probably don't warrant life, I won't feel badly for him if it goes that way.

committing any crime while not working for the interests of the prog filth cabal adds an automatic extra 50 years to any criminal sentence

Manafort is an unprincipled scumbag who played in the mud his whole life. Finally got caught. No tears for him.
