Have read a few times here that NM could swing red this time around. Would have figured that if it was in play Trump would have held a rally there on his recent West Coast swing. Any event polling or ad buys there?

No point fighting there. Spend the money shoring up Arizona and NC and winning Penn, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

The eastern part of the state is getting tired of the governor keeping everything shut down, but it's not going to be enough votes to overcome the population edge of Albuquerque and Santa Fe. So I'd say it's going to stay blue.

I live in Roswell NM, it is in play, not sure about the big cities but we have a huge O&G lobby in this state.

Anecdotal.

I know a clerk in Eastern NM that the county is red. I worked a job there and keep in touch. In past years she said early voting would be 20-25 people per day. So far this year every day has been a minimum of 100 votes cast and she said people she knows in the community that never voted have been showing up in droves to vote.

As others said, the majority of the population are in Albuquerque and Santa Fe and they are super blue. Tough hill to climb.

My MAGA cousin lives in Carlsbad. He is always cursing the liberals in Santa Fe and Albuquerque for ruining the state. Says Hispanics where he is are 50/50 Trump and believes they will flip the house seat back to red. Yvette Herrell was winning in 2018 until the ballot harvesting began. It’s rated toss-up this year. Thinks the “north of I-10” liberals are too many to overcome to carry state but will be closer this year.

It would be tough. I think New Hampshire is more likely.

NM is the only state that is majority minority. The hispanics are basically nice people and are slowly coming around. The indians (feather) love them some freebies, so not so much. Santa Fe is full of liberal/gay idiots. My take small chance NM goes red. We can hope.

2016:
48% Hillary Milhous Clinton
40% Donald Trump
Third Party 12%
Trump lost by 65,000 votes
Gary Johnson got 74,000 votes.
About 45% of voters are Latino.
Blacks make up about 2%.

New Mexico might actually be a state that is slowly trending red, but I doubt it happens this cycle.

Maybe but not likely. Nevada on the other hand will turn red.
