Isn't that what this whole argument between left and right boils down to?

I've heard arguments from both sides but I don't believe anyone from either side will ever be moved by the other.

It is impossible for a physical, material good to be a right because such things are scarce.

I believe that people who truly cannot afford it should be helped. And that means no cell phones, no satellite tv, no cigs, no alcohol, no car note.....get my point. Those people lack priorities so frick them. They can die

This is where I stand but you 100% cannot convince many people of this.

Healthcare is a service. What other services are others entitled to?

No, you just have to pay a tax on it if you have a job.

It should be logic that healthcare is not a right. People don't know what rights are if they think it's a right.

If you have to depend on someone going to school, learning about medicine, becoming a doctor, and then treating you, then it's not a right.

If nobody in the country decided to become a doctor, are your rights being violated since you can't be treated? You have a right to someone else's labor?

It doesn't make any logical sense.

Never seen a person turned away at an emergency room no matter if they could pay or not.

In my experience, many of these people are completely unwilling to sacrifice any of their own care, or speed, or volume, or anything. Not even to substitute a generic drug for the brand name.

Selfish, selfish, selfish.

Edit: And believe you me, there will be plenty of sacrifice required, comrade.

Everyone has the right to seek medical care. No one has the right to be given medical care. Food is the perfect analogy.
