Is China telling its citizens the US started the virus?

Would like confirmation of this if true.
Right now it's something my mother-in-law saw on Fox. So yeah, I have to take that with enough salt to make me susceptible to the corona virus.
IF true, screw that. We already needed to bring the thunder to get them to clean up their unhygienic wet meat markets. But their are plenty of countries who have unhygienic practices around the world.
Trying to cover with their own people by throwing us under the bus? No sir.
Again, would like to see a link preferably by someone at least semi-reputable.

i currently care because A) the world needs to make sure the blame is correctly assigned B) the media wants to beat Trump over the head with this and C) I don't want that shithead Biden to get any clout for blaming Trump when our government was working with shady information from China.
I am not a "trump" guy, but seeing Biden and the media call him racist for completely valid and correct actions, combined with the fact that China hid information that could have lead to more decisive action from the world community brings the need to point all fingers correctly at China.

Yes, and the Chinese people believe it. Because they are on a merit/demerit system. If you don't believe the govt you get demerits. A few demerits and you can't travel out of your town. A lot of demerits and you suddenly are never heard from again.
