Is anyone else here trying to avoid China products?
Posted by SelaTiger on 9/18/19 at 12:30 pm131
I find myself doing it a lot more now. Obviously it would be too much trouble to avoid it on every little thing you buy. But I have been avoiding Chinese products on certain things. For instance, I was looking for work boots and a pair of Ariat caught my eye. But when I saw they were made in China I kept looking. I ended up getting a pair of Chippewa instead.... made in USA. Any of you trying to avoid the Chinese as well?
I've been doing it for years.
Back in the 50s and 60s everyone avoided Japanese made junk .... until the 70s when all of the sudden the Japanese upped their quality game on things like electronics, steel and optics just to name a few. They were doing it better than us.
Then along comes the oil embargo and Toyota and Datsun broke into the market with inexpensive gas saving long lasting cars and the rest is history.
But Japan and China are two totally different beasts.
China is a dangerous communist society hell bent on world domination. Japan was Americanized, to a great degree, post WWII.
China actually fears Japan. Japan is a good friend, far moreso than South Korea even.
China will never be that. It's hard to do but avoid Chinese products like the plague. Easy way to do that is to stay out of Walmart.

You don't have to avoid Walmart which is a good American company just avoid products made in China.

Nope, I had Chinese for lunch...
I love Chinese food. And you don't have to import it.
I highly recommend this Jewish stuff:
They dropped the very spicy so I just get the low sodium and add a lot of cayenne. I use a bottle a week.
