Is anyone concerned about the House elections?

I keep hearing great news about the Senate being kept by the Republicans but can’t get a handle on the House. As important as this election cycle is, we need to keep both the House and Senate but have doubts we keep both. I would hate for all the investigations to just fizzle out. We need the investigations to continue.

Translate that concern into going out and voting and all will be well. The 'silent majority' will work once again.

My concern is that republicans are getting too cocky like Democrats did when they all thought Hillary would win. I think Trump sees this too which is why again, he's rallying his arse off

I agree that complacency may hurt Rs in house elections. Hopefully the ground game is on point.

Whatever happens will happen.

Expand hold of the Senate and Trump will fill the courts.

If Dems win the House and want a scintilla of a hope of holding in 2020, they will play ball and pass some acceptable stuff. Otherwise, they'll be 2 and BBQ.

I just don’t want the investigations to stop. The Dems will do anything and everything to stop the swamp from being exposed. Time for the FISA to be released. Time for the criminals to pay.

If they lose the house we will crow about the seats gained in the Senate.
If they retain both houses it will be a party.

Historically speaking the party that doesn't hold the White House picks up seats in the midterms.

So I expect the Democrats to indeed pick up seats in the House. Question is will they get enough to flip it.

Regardless, likely to flip back Republican in 2020 when Trump is on the ballot.

You kin to Woodrow Call, a man of vision? Here's what Trump said today"

quote:

President Trump on Tuesday dismissed concerns that Republicans could lose the House in the midterm elections, saying he wouldn’t accept blame for the potential defeat.

Speaking to The Associated Press, the president argued that he is “helping” Republican candidates ahead of the Nov. 6 vote. He has held multiple "Make America Great Again" rallies in recent weeks in an effort to boost GOP candidates and incumbents.

“I don’t believe anybody has ever had this kind of impact,” he added. But the president noted that he was not on the ballot this year – and that certain voters have told him they won’t vote because he isn’t running.

The House chances of Republicans have been stabilizing a bit, really.

The week before the Kavanaugh confirmation process, the RCP classified it as a 204-184 Democrat lean or safe seat advantage.

As of today, its 206-199 Democrat, with the balance of 30 as true toss up seats.

That's a hell of a result, considering where things were a month ago- Dems were looking at winning 14 of 45 races to gain a majority of the House; at the moment, they're going to have to come up with 12 of the remaining 30-- still, the odds are definitely on their side, but Republican retention of the House is *much* more likely today, than even 3 weeks ago.

I would guess everyone, we are in for a rude awakening and a terrible pill to swallow if not. Every responsible American of all races and walks of life best get off their butts and go vote unless you want to leave yourself and your children in a substandard mess of hopelessness. That's what the left wants, a breakdown of society so they can install communism and socialism. They are willing to sacrifice a generation to achieve their dream of shared, meager existence.
