The shooter’s Facebook profile is still up (search “Tom Sanford michigan” he’s the one from Atlas, MI and has some clouds as his profile picture).
He posted a bunch of stuff that was anti-Biden, pro-Trump, and anti-mask. Also had shared some stuff from Turning Point USA, and had a quote from Reagan that was anti-socialism.

One too has to wonder if maybe this was directed against the Mormon community because of the CK assassination, and the belief by some that it was directed against CK because of his issue with the Mormon faith. Lots of crazy people out there with some crazy conspiracy theories.

WhoTF cares what side politically he’s on? All anyone is hoping for is for the crazed lunatic moron who decided he wanted to kill people and commit suicide by cop to be on the opposite side politically for brownie points.
WhoTF cares? Innocent people living their normal lives went to church today and died. Got shot or burnt up. That’s awful no matter where ANYONE stands politically. Yet, here we are hoping it’s one side or the other so there’s bragging rights on social media. Because in the end, that’s all anyone wants. Is to have ammo for a never ending argument on the internet with strangers. And it’s a major part of this country’s divide.
It’s exhausting. People need to grow tf up.

Agree. Looking for a motive in this crime, or any crime, is foolish and wrong. We can avoid these crimes in the future without looking for their root cause in the present.

Of course we need motives.
He was a PTSD vet who was pro Trump, possibly had CTE, had stress from his kids health problems, and seems to have hated Mormons for some reason.
Unlike the left this means we on the right need to take steps.
1. If there are any corners of the right that is anti Mormon we should push back on that, they are Americans who have every right to believe what they believe, they have good and bad people, just like everyone else. Push back the same way William Buckley pushed back against antisemitism in the Conservative movement in the 1960s.
2. More veteran support for PTSD.
3. Support for Veteran CTE evals
4. That was bad, that was evil, we on the right need to make sure it doesnt happen again.
You will have heard none of these things from the left, but Trump was instantly saying things that people on the left were canceled for saying about Charlie Kirk.
