Interesting, HUMA and Weiner call off divorce...spousal privilege this chess move?

Hmmm...classified emails found on Weiner’s computer...divorce off. Perphaps a way to avoid giving incriminating testimony about ones spouse?!?!

The privilege would apply if the communications were while married. But they've shown their lawyers are idiots (but for a compliant FBI/DOJ, they would have been shredded), so who knows.

Yes, I did gave it some thought. But, Occam's razor being what it is, I went with the more likely scenario where they are going to try to not go to federal prison.

Not sure they even need the communication between the two of them considering they found the goddamn proof while exercising the warrant against Weiner’s computers for sex crimes.
The fact these documents exist and turned up in their possession is a major problem for the two of them because Huma wasn’t supposed to have any of this after leaving her government position.
They can’t COMPEL either to testify, but I think they have enough to bury both under the jail without it.
