Interesting article...what if Biden can't finish the race?

Assuming Biden wins the nomination handily, but then can't finish the campaign and has to drop out before Election day.
The possibilities are fascinating.
First of all, Harris, assuming she remains as the VP nominee, doesn't automatically rise to the top of the ticket. The DNC would have to meet again and select a nominee by majority vote.
But, with the expansion of early voting, it may be impossible for states to reprint ballots. In fact, many votes no doubt would be cast for Biden. At the very least, Biden's name may appear on the ballot in all 50 states.
And then you have the electoral college. Electors obviously can vote for whomever they choose. Would those in states the Democrats carry automatically vote for Harris, or might some vote for an alternative? Could the vote get thrown into the House because no Democrat gets the required majority?

And this is the reason that the dems should have real debates. A debate will expose a candidates' weakness(s).

What if he gets elected again which is likely to happen and dies in office? We are really going to be fricked. She will be his VP again.

I think not -
As low as I think of Democrats, I do not discount their brilliance at evil strategery. They will want a real 'strong-man' in there once they establish that mere 'elections' are just a drill to keep the inmates content.
They will want someone with real balls - like Hillary Clinton - or Michelle Obama.
I have long thought that Michelle was the candidate to fear in 2024, but now I am giving some thought to HRC's revival - if nothing more than a gift for a half century of dedicated service.
Newsome will make a cute VP.

Biden becomes the nominee, then drops out. The DNC then picks a new nominee who kicks Harris to the curb. This way the DNC can choose their candidate without actually having to deal with the riff-raff voters of their party. It's actually a pretty solid plan if you're corrupt AF and don't care that everyone knows.

What a sad state of affairs. Dems would gladly vote for any of this just to be good sheep and to say they win even though it's a vote for their own demise.
Dems, it's not too late to wake up and do what's best for America.

They'll act like he's not dead and just have a body double keep running
Posted on 4/24/23 at 2:59 pm to BamaGradinTn
I can't imagine they will allow him to run again.

Dominion will tally the vote for whoever the DNC tells them too. It doesnt matter whose name is printed on the ballot.
They would say that 195,000,000 people wrote in the name of Donna Brazille if that is who the DNC wants.
And the media would be silent. The courts would say "no standing".

Why would he have to finish the campaign?
Last time, he mostly hid out and was suffering from obvious mental impairment. It didn't matter.
We're nearing the point that the chosen candidate may not even need to be alive to be president.
