In the UK Families are warned to keep torches b/c of coronavirus blackouts

You know they mean flashlights, right?

You do realize that a “torch” in the UK is a flashlight ?

I realize what a flashlight is called in the UK. I find the blackouts themselves more interesting.

As a 50% Brit myself, I’m appalled at the way the UK has handled the pandemic.
I could write a missive, but I’ll just leave it at that.

If they aren’t nailed hard by this thing in the next couple of weeks, it’ll be a miracle.
