The government shuts down every Friday.

Will we be able to tell a difference?

Yet I’ll also be working Saturday. To be fair, that was my choice and I’ll receive OT.

Some vets to abuse?

I'll be at work, too, if it makes you feel better. Just like during the last "shutdowns."

Groundhog day.

Monday was a holiday and Redstone Arsenal was shutdown yesterday and today. I may have to work only one day this week

I also get paid if the Govt shutdown occurs anyway.

Just practicing for when you get discharged, assuming you get an honorable discharge.

Dems don't have the guts to shutdown the government because many government workers are Democrats in unions

I'll be down at KSC Cape Canaveral analyzing sensor data from the new Space Based Infrared Radar System (SBIRS) that we launch tomorrow night on an Atlas V rocket. It's a special 'eye in the sky' to detect ballistic missile launches. Shutdown not stopping that, although it could get scrubbed for any number of other reasons.

I was out at Redstone in early December working on a project for the Night Vision Labs. What do you do there?

When I was in Politics professionally, I used to see the Teamsters Union in the Transportation Dept. and all the other Employee Union members leave work or go home at 12:00 noon on Friday. No work on Friday afternoon-almost a 3 day week-end every week.

You're, sincerely, the government types that I like. Our political differences aside. NASA and our space program are and have been, for 60 years, our next rung up the latter of human progress. And the Navy and AF's involvement just sweetens the deal.

You're good folk.

I guess you don't consider jokes about abusing defenseless vets tasteless on a site such as this? Or was it just because the 14 year old rape joke was directed at you?
