People will burn through that money just as fast as before and build more debt

I’m sure they gave all existing employees a 25% raise as well, right? Right?

The majority of Americans that worked through the pandemic got worked pretty hard with the surging inflation…..most received their typical 2-3% annual pay raise while service sector and warehouse workers got 20-30% pay increases.

March: "It's not real inflation until there's wage inflation"

October: "Wage inflation is good. Celebrate peasants!"

How much does bread cost in Venezuela

What does a private company increasing wages in America have to do with Venezuela?

So would you prefer the costs of goods to go up and the wages not go up with them? That would be incredibly stupid to desire.

I would rather the lunatics cease destroying the USD through their reckless monetary policies and deficit spending.

I know that replying to an idiot is like banging my head against the wall but, if you do not understand what inflationary practices are going on nobody can help you. A $20/hr job pays 40k roughly. However, between gas, power, food, etc, that extra money is worth much less than before.

But keep hyping that nice extra $5 in your pocket

When I started in 2011, the starting pay was $8.13 an hour for packaging in a plant. Now they start at $15 an hour.

I have been in my current position for about 5 years. It started out at $14 and I was just bumped up to $21.80 in September.

I was content with that, until I found out the new guy I was training was making $22. He was brought in while the company was ignoring my religious exemption request...so I'm assuming he was meant to replace me.

So you'd prefer that prices go up without the wages going up?

It’s all going to be passed on to the consumers or the businesses will shutdown/outsource.

Inflation is going to impact the poorest members of our society the most. The same ones who vote Democrat.

Not all jobs can be outsourced.

Particularly not at a shipping company.

These are market realities. The government isn't forcing their hand on this.

Thought you pussies liked the free market? Sometimes the market tips in favor of the employees and not the employers. Since most people are employees and not employers this is a net positive benefit for the country.

And everyone here is crying about it. Might ask yourself why.

Did you consider that?

The prices have already gone up. This is the wages catching up with inflation. It's a good thing.
