Searched and didn't find it.

What is the "kill switch"?
quote:

the mechanism that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has built into the Senate impeachment trial rules that allows the president’s legal team to call for an immediate vote for dismissal or summary judgment at any time

Pretty damn smart for Mitch to include this since the dismissal option fizzled thanks to 4 Rep assclowns.

We'll see how it plays out, but my best guess is that it will not be until after Roberts' Q&A session.

However, I also think Americans are bored out of their minds hearing about Ukraine. There may be an outside shot at a preliminary motion to dismiss (which should be granted, IMO, to burn this travesty of an impeachment). That would at least give dims a narrative regarding muh coverup. But doubt it.

Regardless of the (favorable) outcome for GEOTUS, the Dems are certainly going to cry foul.

So do it now. There is literally no positive for Trump for this trial to move forward and only allows Dems to spin their bullshite and allows cucks like Romney to get cold feet and go along with the Dems charade

I am prepared to donate to whoever primaries Romney if he continues to be a spineless coward with no moral compass.

Saying this as an Illinois Democrat.

This is why you get it over as quickly as possible.

2 weeks, 10 weeks, 4 witnesses, 400 witnesses.....the Democrats will bitch and complain.

Nothing short of Trump's removal will satisfy them. Even then they would just move on to Pence.

End it.

I'd wager good money this never happens. People who keep thinking each negative press story for Trump is a chance to out the deep state are fooling only themselves.

This is not a "trust sessions" moment. This is a "declare the trial fricking over and move on with MAGA" moment.

The idiot libs started with an impeachment and backtracked their way there. That's not how impeachment works.

I can only imagine if and when another democratic candidate gets into the WH. It's going to be a painful payback.

Which is the problem. How about don’t do something as incredibly stupid as attempting payback via further frivolous impeachment.

We have yet to see a legitimate impeachment in this country. All three have been partisan hackery at its finest.

I am not sure they can use it immediately. But you meant immediately as in indeed it is in the rules they can do it w/o amendment carte blanche.

They seemed to talk Romney asshats into listening to the dems then the R's then they will either dismiss or vote for more witnesses.

People should be pissed because it is not their job to call witnesses to prove the case that the dems failed.

Jamboy is spot on, snuffing this charade out ASAP is the way to go. In the words of a dirt farmer buddy, “they Democrats and Republicans are both crooked, them Democrats are just ‘crookeder.’” I don’t trust anyone up there hardly.
