I don't think west point grads are the same anymore...
Eta: I'd like to add in ivy league as well.
You're either a trust fund legacy, an affirmative action special admit, or you're the child of an international diplomat and/or leader (Xi Jinping's daughter). Also you could be an athlete that was admitted with lower standards (could fall into "special admit").

In May of 1993, Bill Clinton had just been elected President and gave the remarks at that West Point graduation. His big thing was pushing "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" which became policy because of him. All the cadets despised Clinton for that and the officers knew it. It was told to the graduating class that if any graduating cadet yelled out a disparaging remark or boo that there would be officers flanking all the seated cadets and that the offending cadet(s) would be physically removed from the graduation ceremony and they would not graduate that day. Sure enough, day of graduation there were captains, majors, and lieutenant colonels all over the place giving the cadets the stink eye. No one booed or snickered. Every cadet shakes the hand of the speaker after getting their diploma. Clinton's handshake was one of those that just sort of sits in your hand without a grip like a dead fish...weak.
Fast forward 30 years......I didn't think it could've been worse than that but unbelievably it's gotten much much worse. So sad.

All those hours studying only to be forces to listen to shite for brains. smh,
They lost more brain cells in this commencement than they will in partying after graduating.

I wonder if she's still microdosing shrooms before she speaks.

My cousin graduated WP when Clinton was president.
He didn't want to shake the POS's hand and does not consider it a highlight of his career.
btw-Why isn't Biden there? Doesn't the president usually do the WP graduation?

It's typically a rotation of secdef, VP and president.

If I had been a cadet there I would have kept my mouth shut, but there's no doubt in my mind that I would have turned my back to her right before I got very acquainted with an O-5 or higher.

I wonder if she talked about white supremacy as the biggest threat to America?
