I’m sorry to say, but Trump’s political career is over.

I’m as MAGA as they come, but there’s now no way Trump would be the nominee in 2024. And there’s no way he would win as an independent.

I also fear now the Republican Party will choose to distance themselves from Trump and abandon many of his policies.

I feel like this gives Republicans the excuse they needed to go back to business as usual instead of tapping into the energy that Trump’s political movement created.

The idiots that stormed the Capitol really screwed things up, and it honestly pisses me off that they could be so stupid with only 2 weeks left. And Trump was stupid for throwing Pence under the bus.

I was hoping Trump could be a loud, guiding voice for Republican action over these next 4 years, but I don’t see that happening now. He’s done.

Political career?!? Lol.

I put his odds at being a free man in 12 mo at 50/50.

I’m sure another round of golf will fix what ails him though.

Done as a steak with A1 sauce haha. Finally a trump supporter holding trump to some accountability. I'm so proud. Trump did it to himself with his ego and mouth

Win or lose, had none of this happened yesterday that would likely be true as well. Trump running in 2024 after losing was never a viable option. It's not a viable option for any President to lose, wait four years, and win a second term.

He won't get elected in 2024 but he will still be a force politically and will shape the discourse for years to come.

I don't think you understand the ebb and flow of politics very well.

I never said I did. I am simply surveying the current landscape as it stands.

They were going to distance their self from Trump as soon as it wasn’t helpful to them . They were always going to go back to the way it was.

Trust me, I am. I can’t get enough of his willingness to fight these assholes in Washington and in the media.

But I also call it like I see it.
