I’m not anti Trump, but I like DeSantis better

Seems like a lot of people are all in on Trump in a similar way that the democrats were for Hillary with all the “It’s her turn” stuff.
I voted for Trump, I liked a lot of what he did, but why should we feel obligated to send him back to Washington when it really seems that DeSantis is significantly more conservative, younger, and has done a great job in Florida which, probably more than any other state, is a microcosm of the US?
If Trump gets it, he’s got my vote, no question, but I’m supporting DeSantis in the Republican primary, if he chooses to run. I’m not a liberal shill, not a never Trumper, and I don’t have TDS, I just like the other guy better.

Because it's still his turn!

All of the bickering between Trump and Desantis supporters is a bit odd to me. Trump is the only one that has announced but Desantis is acting like he wants to run. I like both guys as well. I don't think anyone will truly ever like 100% about what one candidate does, but both of those guys are significantly better than Biden or any other potential candidate in the Liberal party. And better than GOPe candidates as well. I'd be happy with either at this point.

In the end, the -only- thing that matters is that we ALL take a break from being shitty to each other about it. That's it.
Vote however you want. Speak with reason. Stop the infighting right away. We have time to bridge the damage done.
Stop the vitriol, fellas. It -matters- that we are capable of doing that.

Move to Florida as he will be the governor for the next 3+ years

I like DeSantis, as well... but he isn't running for President so I'm not sure why you're getting so excited about voting for him

We are more informed about world events, what is at stake, and can identify someone who supports the establishment. However, if you still believe that it is simply a matter of Republicans versus Democrats and dismiss notions of a unified political party or deep state as conspiracy theories, you are still living in a the matrix.
It is important to wake up and pay attention to who the nefarious actors are targeting. It is clear that Trump is the most effective at impeding their evil plans. I refuse to vote for someone who can be easily influenced and will follow the party line once they become president.
Even if defeating this evil is not within our power, we must at least make sure that as many people as possible are aware of it. Trump is the only candidate who can expose this corruption to a wide audience.

Ultimately it's a primary race, and I believe the stakes are high. I want the best possible conservative candidate to win and don't think Trump can win.
The criteria I use to evaluate GOP primary candidates are 1) policy alignment, 2) electability, and 3) effectiveness once elected. DeSantis has him beat on all 3, and it's really not close. And the stakes are actually very high, as cliche as that may be.

He was so effective at draining the swamp

So you're not voting for Trump?

This evil, and even the really shitty but not quite evil - is it more or less engrained in our culture, economy and politics today versus 2016?
It seems to me that the 6-7 years Trump has led the Republican party has seen evil/shitty become a growth industry in a way we've not seen before.
Is this just coincidental to Trump's tenure as Republican leader?

They’re. All. The. Same.
I don’t mean to condescend to anyone; but the fact that folks think any of these figureheads will change a lick of anything in the US is a dream and a prayer (with a dash of 1950s patriotism thrown in).
But I get it; it’s human nature to cling to hope.
The average age of the world's democracies is around 200 years, after which time, nations collapse.
Facts.
So Trump v DeSantis folks … continue your squabbling.
But while you’re at it, do the math.

Yep, I feel the same way, but I like Trump better
The horseshite charges in NY cemented my support
But I won’t be unhappy if Ron gets the nod - we get a good choice to vote FOR either way
Only person that is like better is Paul, well - people, I’d love to have Rand or Ron Paul, but that is a pipe dream….
