if you don't see my skin color, then you don't see me - SJW blacks are the anti-MLK

Tuesday's PBS NewsHour
Go to the segment at 42:32 and watch the "Rethinking College" and the program to bring rural and urban college students together in Illinois.
Cliffs: the "conservative" educator (Eureka College) seems pretty moderate, probably more of a 1970s liberal than anything else.
His counterpart at U. of Chicago is none other than David Axelrod. No need to elaborate on that BS.
They had focus groups where the city folks learned a bit about Trump voters and rural students learned about Hillary voters. Some fat girl from U of C talked about how terrible the Trumpers are not being able to accept illegal immigration.
But the kicker was the rural, white guy (being described by a black girl) saying he tries not to see race, he tries to see everyone as equal...
and on cue, the black girl saying "if you don't see my color, then I feel like you don't see me."
Honest Q to the Left and to blacks... what the hell are whites supposed to do given that blacks are making Dr. King's vision as unattainable?

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.

I prefer not to see your race. I prefer to see you as a fellow human being knowing full well our American Experience is very different. I also prefer to interact on a shared sense of respect, dignity and integrity. If either of us fail to do so that isn't about race but character. I concede I do not know what it is to be an African American male but you don't know what it is to be an Anglo American male. So, we can either move forward or go our separate ways....your call.

Oh girl, I see your color, trust me.

Another liberal conundrum:
White person: “I don’t see people in terms of color”. Racist, white-privileged a-hole
White person: “I see people in terms of color”. Racist, white-privileged a-hole
It’s like the white-flight/gentrification arguement. There’s no winning with these people

If you notice skin color you're a racist.
The left is consumed with skin pigmentation from birth til death.

The worst thing isn’t the fact the entire Left have gone full retard, it’s that they are so fking PROUD of it.

When a white person says “I don’t see skin color” to a black person, what they mean is “I don’t believe it is morally fair to judge you based on your race. If I were to view you when we meet in the context of your race, I would assume you’d be much more likely to be addicted to drugs, a convicted felon, and a violent person who takes no personal responsibility for your own actions. I don’t want to do this, and instead want to ignore that and start my opinion of you from a clean slate and divested from my preconceived experiences or biases.”
Black person “you racist.”
Black person “you racist.”

Black QT 3.14: if you don’t see my color, you don’t see me.

I look at the way someone looks/dress/act/etc, but not color.

It used to be, if you see my color, then you don't see me.
The Invisible Man, Ralph Ellison 1952.
Now it's all about color from the left; white and black.
Everything about your station in life, acheivement, job, etc. has all been reduced to privilege or lack thereof.

There is no right answer. This mantra has been evident for some time. It's simply any answer that makes you wrong and them righteous.

I don't see skin color because I don't care about your skin color

Fify. Not all.
Ignore the stupid ones like that black girl. She doesn't speak for all of us, she just wants to be able to play the victim card under any circumstances.
Personally I prefer to be treated thr same as any other person regardless of skin color. I prefer to be seen as a man, not just a black man. Way more to life than someone's skin color. That girl's words demonstrate that not only does she define herself by her skin color, she expects to be treated differently based upon it, as well.
That is wrong.

I've never seen race, but my brain sees stereotypes frequently. If you're portraying yourself as something that has negative connotations, you can't blame the other person for making assumptions.
Our brains are wired to work that way, and that will never ever change.

I accept and concur with your edit. That was an error on my part.
Godspeed to you, TbirdSpur, and your influence over our fellow Americans. I hope you can convince my fellow countrymen of African heritage that the key to success is easily found, but not in victimhood nor Democrat wrong-headedness.
