Wouldn’t he be less obvious than hiring Manafort?

Think about it. Manafort had business with Pro Russian Ukrainians and a Russian so-called Oligarch or two. Kind of risky to make a hire like that if you’re trying to help Russia on the sly, imo. No?

The entire narrative is one of the most far fetched things in American history, very sad how far the left and media has sunk

It's absolutely amazing.

It definitely shows how simple minded people are and how even shitty propaganda works

At one point the entire media was all in on “Donald Trump had Vladimir Putin hack the election”

It's the same fearmongering that led us into the Cold War. The United States needs a boogeyman to keep the MIC faucet running. Putin is a perfect target. He's a Russian autocrat right out of the Hollywood script for a bad guy. As all-powerful as the left claims Putin is, you would think Russia wouldn't be such a shitehole in comparison to the United States.

We are living in an age where actual journalism is dead and yellow journalism is the norm. The National Inquirer was jus decades ahead of the competition.

People love fake reality shows and fake reality news. We are being systematically dumbed down to accept authoritarianism.

No. Competition between two superpowers led us into the Cold War. The resulting military buildup and the collapse of one of the superpowers is what ultimately placed the US as the lone global hegemon, and has allowed us for decades to set the rules of the international system.

Russia wasn’t a boogeyman then;China isn’t a boogeyman now. It’s not about manufacturing a false threat, it’s about identifying threats to US interests and moving to minimize them.

Within Russia, he is as powerful as any autocrat has been in their country. That said, personal power does not always equate to national success. It’s often counterproductive.

I'm far more worried about China than Russia when it comes to the espionage.

No, just no.

We were not competing for Cuba or any other country. We were always about stopping the spread of communism.

We faked bomb drills too.

There was a reason they blamed Oswald and had him linked to Russia. Do not be blinded my friend.

What part of that has anything to do with his intelligence?

Deep down this is what scares/worries me more than anything. Sure, I'm a Republican and a Trump supporter, but I know he'll be just fine no matter what the news put out about him. He's one tough SOB that's had all sorts of mud slung at him throughout the years.

My worry is that people not only follow this stuff willingly and believe it, but they let it further galvanize them in their divided hatred of the other side. It may not be the next administration or the one after, but eventually some opportunistic individual will win the oval office and proceed to weaponize the media machine for THEIR own good opposed to the overall party's, and then we have another Hitler/Stalin/Mao type but on our own soil.

People are just so gullible when the news says what they WANT it to say - things that fall in line with their deep-seeded beliefs. It needs to be stopped, and soon.

Open your minds eye. It has already happened but not like you are thinking. It is Our opposition party that has all this in the works at this moment and has for some time.

you Simply aren’t correct. Leave this to the professionals. You have theories, but the reality is that the US/Soviet fight for regional and global influence set the rules of the international system we benefitted from for decades. Don’t post if you don’t understand.

Do you think the 58,318 men who died in Vietnam benefitted from our fight for global hegemony and/or influence? How about their loved ones?
