If Obama could run again, how would he do?
Thoughts? I think either Obama or Bill would win in a walk if they could run.

Sadly, he would probably sweep the entire Republican primary roster

Your thread is dumb and has been covered a billion damn times. The liberal dumbass posters think he wins easily, but the conservative dumbass posters think he losses. The sane posters just laugh at you.

Against Trump? 500 to 38... anyone else, probably 300 EVs at minimum

Voting population is too dumb. He was elected twice and likely would be elected a 3rd time.

Nah. It would probably mirror what he did to Romney, though.

he'd destroy Trump. i mean DESTROY him

but, i don't think the GOP would have been so "radical" in nominating a guy like Trump

He'd win easily, this election being close right now is more about Hillary being a poor candidate than anything else-- Obama’s at 52% approval this should (and in the end probably will) be an easy election.

Well that Florida poll today has Biden up over Trump 50-40. Not sure what that means for Obama.

I think the fair question would be: Would Bill Clinton or Barrack Obama beat Donald Trump in their first elections cycles?

Seems like when you are president for 8 years running, you are going to have a little more jump in support than a newcomer.

bill would crush it...biggest landslide since 84

Obama would probably beat trump because he would maximize the black voters and millennials. he'd get a big turnout from them. I think it would be close though. He also has a great approval rating relative to the job he has done and the fact that he has just a hair over 1/2 a year left in office.

this is a good question, I think considering how smooth Bill and Obama are they would crush Trump with women enough to win.

Obama would win in a landslide. The Republicans have no answer for the Democrats and their media allies in this election.

Tell me how Biden is generally a more serious thoughtful individual than Trump, from a political standpoint.

I'm not talking electability, just general demeanor and approach to campaigning and such.

They really seem a lot alike in many respects to me.

Bill Clinton may have been the best campaigner in modern history. So he would have destroyed Trump.

Obama is getting much more comfortable now, but wasn't all that strong 8 years ago. But he has a strong voice that could stand up to Trump's attempts to talk over him in a debate. Obama 8 years ago would win. Obama today would win in a landslide.

People grow tired after 8 years. He'd probably do a bit worse than a new democrat candidate, but the way the electoral map is, he'd probably win.

President Obama would win easily. Is it too late to change the rules?
