If no police, then what? Vigilantism?

If police forces are defunded, then what will people do? Imagine the old West. The Marshal was not always close at hand. How did a community protect itself? People will be forced to band together to protect their property, their lives. Do the Antifa types really want people taking the law into their own hands? Vigilantes will not be guided by the same rules that often tie police department hands. I think the protesters should watch out what they wish for. They will miss the predictability of law enforcement officers.

As I’ve thought about this, this won’t happen. It cedes too much control back to the people.
