Greed would win.
Republicans always confuse greed with capitalism.
Republicans threatened to shut down the government 4 or 5 times so the rich could keep their corporate welfare during the obama years.

Capitalism is a false God, promoted by the same people who also promote socialism/communism. They win either way.

Explain to me how legitimate comparable ISP competition would spring up all over the country.
Or how a small startup would compete with Google or Netflix or Amazon.
Or how the users of a small message board could fight any of the above?

Additional competition would need help by removing the barriers to entry for that market. That is where the battle should be, not where it is currently, which is advancing socialism.

You’re on a roll this morning...

Net neutrality removes the barriers to entry for content creation.
We still need it. Even if you work on the barriers to entry for ISPs, which we definitely should, you still need net neutrality

Do you know that I can find articles saying the same about Sears?
Did you know that in 2005, the Federal Trade Commission was worried about Blockbuster Video being a monopoly. BLOCKBUSTER VIDEO!!!!

But often competition is limited.
Cities often awarded one cable contractor a monopoly d/t cost of infrastructure buildout. Until competitors lay in FON's, the monopoly owner can manipulate charges within constraints of regulation.

While building a mountain of barriers for ISP competition.
By the way. Can I just point out that the companies FOR NN are all content creators/providers? Now, I mean you can think that suddenly, Google, Amazon etc are seeking to have a bunch of competitors in their space or.......you might want to re-evaluate your assumptions.

So what’s your problem with it exactly? People who use more bandwidth should pay more than I do
I’ll buy the internet fast lanes when I see them. It wasn’t a thing in 2015 before these regulations. Even still, this is exactly what cord cutters asked for with cable for ever but ironically they don’t like ala carte internet like they would tv
Now on reddit, I am seeing it is a free speech issue

It makes no promises though, and it won't go out of the way to save anybody nor does it pretend that it's the purpose. However, at the end of the day it also even allows non-believers to benefit from it, without any conditions or some sort of quid pro quo.
It may be a false God, but at least you know what you get with it.

Capitalism would win if big government crony capitalism hadn't already sold out to telecoms decades ago.
The idea that there is true, uninhibited competition between ISPs is laughable. They divided up a patchwork map of the country, signed their exclusivity contracts, shook hands with their "competitors" and agreed not to go after each other, and let taxpayers subsidize their work, all while making a fricking mint.

It's actually not hard to see where small players have a role in this economy. I'm in the business and see small guys driving innovation everyday. They drive grow and then get bought out everybody wins

It is not anti-capitalistic to prevent monopoly formation. Quite the opposite.
