Bama is a red as it gets, and despite his out of the mainstream ideas, Moore would easily cruise but for the STILL UNSUBSTANTIATED charges of sexual impropriety.

So, if Moore does lose, will this mean that baseless charges will be leveled at every GOP candidate in 2018 and beyond?

Fact. It might not replace "muh racism" but it will be prevalent in every campaign.

Yes, but on the bright side, if he wins it will crush the left and will be a huge blow to them moving forward with that narrative any longer.

Yeah it’s pretty scary if he were to lose. It shows how easily you can steal a senate seat

I think it is abundantly clear that no one has a hold on the moral panic.

They'll do it even if Moore wins by 5 points or less (Trump won Alabama by 26, they'll see a close race as validation of their tactics).

It's not as easy as ballots in a trunk, but it's still pretty easy.

Would appear both sides have a lot to lose in this race.

GOP definitely doesn't want this noose around their neck moving forward.

Media and other Dems were kicking and screaming as to Conyers and Franken (much more "conservative" in their reporting/handling of those stories [just look at how they have not pilloried Franken over his "resignation" speech, where he basically calls all of his accusers {some of whom have photos} liars or "misrememberers"]).

Plus, it seems clear that the Conyers/Franken gambit was to "clear the field" for renewed attacks on Trump and Moore.
