If DeSantis Does Not Quickly Condemn The Political Prosecution Of Trump, He's Finished

Fair or not.
Like Trump or not.
That is reality.
If DeSantis does not speak out against the political weaponization of prosecution, and specifically its utilization against Trump, he will lose.
Democrats are never voting for him and most Republicans won't either if he stays silent.
DeSantis fans who hate Trump, you are going to have to accept this reality for your guy to have any chance. Because to a lot of people who voted for Trump,like me, this is not about Trump. This is an issue that goes way beyond Trump.
I believe this presents a challenge and simultaneously an opportunity for DeSantis.
He doesn't need to beat a drum on it, he only needs to address it.
For those who say screw it, I don't want DeSantis to say anything about it because Trump said mean things about DeSantis and I hate Trump...fine. But DeSantis will lose. Because the fact is he cannot win without winning Trump voters.

If I was being called Meatball Ron and DeSanctimonius and trashed for opposing Democrat policies every day, I would probably not run to that guy's defense.

You're going to have to get over your dislike of OnlyTrump and hold your nose. It doesn't matter what they say.
Aside from the practical reality of the situation, there is a crucial issue at play here that is critical to a lot of people.
That is what is important. Everything else...your hatred of Trump and Trump voters, their hatred of DeSantis and DeSantis fans...that's all noise. It's emotion.

Yep. Trump has been lying about him non-stop for the last 4 months. Trump’s sycophants have been going after his wife and mocking the fact that she had cancer, most notably Laura Loomer.
Why should DeSantis say anything? It’s not his fault Trump cheated on his wife and fricked a whore who looks like a tranny.
I suspect he will say something but is just waiting for an arrest to take place, if there even is one, and more facts to come out. He’s successful because he doesn’t jump the gun, which most politicians and activists do.

I'm sure that's a thought.
But sometimes you have to suck it up and do what must be done.
But moreover, he needs to acknowledge there is a more substantive issue at play here that is more important that whatever mean tweet Trump said or whatever unfair characterization his voters may have said.
Because again, DeSantis needs those voters and they are not going to vote for someone they believe won't fight for the things that are important to them.

You’re the one who wants to renominate the only Republican who can (and already has) lose to Biden. Pretty sure that’s what’ll give the Dems the best shot at having lifetime control. Then when Trump loses you’ll want him to run again in 2028. Heck, you probably want losers like Mastriano or Oz, Kari Lake, and John Gibbs to win their respective nominations for Senate.
