If Biden has to be removed from the ballot all mail ins for him are void right?

Whether for death, other medical reasons, criminal reasons etc. correct? I mean if whatever happens prior to election day.

I guess to be more clear I am asking, are ballots already cast for an individual not for a party? Also, if there were a zillion mail in ballots for Biden, but before election day he dies or whatever, he isn't still "elected" so Harris then succeeds?

Many have pointed out that you are voting for electors, not the candidates, so the electors might be free to vote for whomever, though I’m guessing they’d still vote for the Dem.

Short answer is that you are voting for a particular party’s electors. We do not vote directly on POTUS. So the Dems would slide Harris up and have their electors vote for her.

You can bet that if even a fraction of the stuff in these emails were attributed to Trump and not Biden, the Democrats would already be trying to set up 20 different ways to have him removed from the ballot.
