I think that the indelible ink marks are a good idea. Limits or precludes fraudulent multi-voting, with the added benefit of letting everyone see who has fulfilled his duty to vote and who has not.

That's only here in the States where transportation, other than a burro, is too rampant causing traffic jams which keep potential voters from registering. It's a damn hardship.
