People tuned in knew that there was a chance Trump was under Putin's thumb and rolled the dice anyway. We'll see to what extent that theory turns out to be true.

Not really. Rick is butthurt about Trump but he's pals with John Schindler and both have been hinting at these revelations for a couple months.
I'm not sure if there more detailed rumors out there already or not.

Trump isn't under Putin's thumb but according to the US intelligence agencies, Tom Hartman and Ed Schultz are.
