I remember when it was reported that Trump made an off the record comment that made it appear that he wasn't completely serious about the wall.
He was elected, and one of my first thoughts was, incredulously, "Is he really going to build that wall?"
I was never a big wall guy. Always wanted enforcement of laws, deportation, and less immigration - which does not necessarily need a wall. The only thing that attracted me to "the wall" was a thought that subsequent presidents couldn't subvert it. I am not convinced that is true, though.

Well don't worry, apparently the omnibus also downsizes the ability and capacity to detain illegals. There's plenty in it for you to hate.

I have not had the time to go over much of it.
I have seen Trump do many surprising, impressive things, and I have learned not to count him out too quickly.
I will always be taking a wait and see approach.

It’s amazing that any of you have faith that it will actually be built. It’s this thing y’all cling to but it’s a fantasy.
