I think the left will start a serious push to 100% federalize the funding of schools

Already seeing certain politicians say it is unfair that property values determine funding.

They NEVER ask why property values may be low in a certain area and what can be done to raise those values.

That’s fine. As long as my kids have paper, pencil, and a safe environment, they will be smarter than the dregs of society.

It’s upbringing and genetics, not money.

Texas addressed that with “recapture,” a.k.a. “Robin Hood,” whereby the property-rich school districts have their excess tax proceeds redistributed by the state to property-poor districts.

Makes not one lick of difference.

Oh, it's definitely on their wishlist. I perceive the more immediate "win" for them is the normalization of "distance learning" in which the teacher union's membership "works" from home.

Didn't new orleans schools do something similar?

We talking about the program by which an unelected bureaucrat took control of donations to a school football team and managed to kill the project while paying her thousands of dollars to administrate things?
