That would have been something if someone in the crowd would have smoked the shooter

The sad part is if they had drawn a weapon, they likely would have been shot by LE on the ground due to the confusion on scene.

but you make several good points.

Imo if the agent is responsible for the death of the bystander the SS and the FBI will quickly move to cover this thing up. They are already getting destroyed but that would be a massive black eye for them

That’s a long range scope prolly only goes down to 6 power instead of a lower setting and couldn’t get the target re acquired which would explain his jumping jerking movements. His binoculars were laying on the ground next to him.

That whole setup was shitty for covering inside 400 yards.

I’ve watched it several times and neither one of the Secret Service snipers on the barn roof made the kill shot.

Listening to the shots audio and watching the rooftop sniper video..

I am almost 100 the kneeling guy took the first shot after pulling off scope and realizing what he was seeing. He goes back and fires (after his setup has moved all over the place).

Sadly, I think he hesitated and panicked:

The other sniper laying flat MAY have fired but he definitely bailed.

Neither fired the kill shot.

Were they on the water tower? If so, how did they miss the guy with a rifle crawling up on a roof right under them? If not, why were TWO obvious elevated, line of sight positions overlooked by SS?

Why were two SS snipers in the same spot? One should have been on the roof the shooter accessed!

Go outside with a cardboard paper towel tube. Now ask your friend, wife, whoever to pick a target in your neighborhood. A certain flower, sign, mailbox, whatever. Now look through that tube and have them (spotter) bark out directions on where and what the target is. You have 15 seconds to find it without taking your head out of the tube. Come back here and let me know how you do. I’m no sniper but I compete in PRS and NRL hunter competitions. My targets don’t shoot back. It’s amazing to me he only had to come out of that scope once. This guy knows what he’s doing.

What is this babbling? Since when are snipers not allowed to open their other eye to help aquire a target? Sheesh

You realize that plenty of hunters can hit a deer while it’s running, right? Not saying it’s easy, but it’s doable. You clearly haven’t spent much time behind a rifle.

They always work in pairs. There were two other teams present as well.

Possibly this is SS Agent responsible for putting him down.

So that SS Agent is the one that shot Underbite in the mouth?

As good as we’ve become with drone technology, why aren’t drones used to detect potential threats like what occurred on Saturday? Having a birdseye view of an event like a Trump political rally would seem very prudent.

Nah, the guy laying down smoked him IMO.

The prone position is w/o question the steadiest firing position and it was not that long of a shot for a counter sniper team. With that said there is NO WAY that shooter should have been able to access the rooftop and move around like he did.

I've been on two military bases for POTUS visits and we are briefed IRT counter sniper teams (locations, immediate actions, etc) and NOT to be outside in certain areas during the arrival/departure sequence and out in only designated areas for speeches. If you didn't listen you risked being shot....period. Definitely seems something was lacking yesterday....

Those two had both the rooftops and the tree line in their peripheral.

My guess is (based on extensive COD and Bambi killing) tripod sniper was roofs and other guy was tree line (based on position and gun angles)

No way in heck can you make a head shot from over a 100 yards away juking and jiving.

A few years ago, snipers took out terrorist pirates on a bobbing and weaving boat.

The good ones are way more better than you can ever imagine.

Watch the video and you’ll see as the high sniper lifts his head off the glass - just a millisecond later - the assassin fires.

Are you taking in to account how sound travels? A phone is going to also pick up sounds weird. The sniper could have had a shot off before the sound is picked up on the iPhone. That makes it sound like the shots are out of order.
