Nothing to place blame over, but the logic of "People Of Color" being OK, but "Colored People" being not OK, escapes me.

I didn't say that I miss anything, but I fail to see the logic, that all those years ago, made using the term "Colored People" wrong, because it differentiated them as a group somehow, from everyone else, only to come back some years later, to use the term " People Of Color" which is pretty damn similar, to differentiate themselves from everyone else.

Because other people called them that when they didn't approve of it first. Derogatory ways of referring to someone, bestowed on them by someone else, usually don't go over well when you're the target.
