I have zero problem with the locked elbows BUT standing national anthem strategy
When they do this (like the Chiefs did) they are standing (being respectful to the flag) but also making their statement. I'm cool with that. If every team did this rather than kneeling the disruptive nature of the protest could be heard without pissing patriotic Americans off.

Cool. Also, why do you care about kneeling?

Too late. Screw these clowns. I go out of my way to avoid the nfl as well as any “woke” organization. I’m fully prepared to suffer the consequences as a result

Because it is disrespectful to the country and to the vets that have fought in wars to spread freedom and liberate the oppressed. Seriously?

Let’s forget the ridiculous assertion of their protest. Why are they choosing to protest creating a divisive political moment during the national anthem which is suppose to unite us as Americans?

Yes, I do. How can you not care about it (assuming you are an American)? Regardless of the hot trend of hating America, I do not. This is the best country the world has ever known.

The damage is done as far as I'm concerned. Locking arms is their sign of protest and whether they stand or kneel or sit it out, they aren’t covering their hearts and they aren’t out there out of respect for the flag or the tradition for the freedom they have.

They’ve made their beds. They can sleep in them.

I just can't muster the energy to give the first frick about whether an athlete does something disrespectful or not. How can you? How short is your life?

Yes, exactly. You caring about strangers kneeling won't change any of that one bit. Go live your life, baw. Next thing we know, you'll be on the OT all riled up about what clothes other baws are wearing.

The miserable and small people are the ones that seem to care about this stupid "issue" more than their own loved ones.

You don’t see the irony in you caring about the fact that he cares do you? It’s pathetic.

Since they aren't saying the Pledge, hand over heart is irrelevant.

To be fair, I don't think it's EVERYTHING. Just everything involving race.

Man, look. We have entire families who have lost family members in wars fought to liberate the oppressed and defeat evil in the name of spreading the kind of freedom we have perfected in the US. You want to be a devils's advocate and say that what they are doing means nothing but that is just disingenuous bull shite. It matters.

Patriotism (love of country) is the only thing that we have as a diverse country that *should* unify all of us and until recently it did exactly that. SO just respect our traditions. Not that hard.

Yet here you are defending them like usual.

Go be a commie fig somewhere else since you “don’t care”.

This isn't even about race. It's like caring about what stupid actors think. Who can possibly give the first frick about it? De Niro can spout all the crazy left wing shite he wants...and I'll be here happily watching The Godfather II and encouraging others to do so as well. Couldn't give the first frick about his politics.

Defending? Nah. Indifference is not a defense. I watched a lot of several games Sunday and didn't have to see any of this shite. It's just not there.
