I have to admit, listening to the Rush Limbaugh show yesterday was depressing.

Rush was his usual on point and confident self, then he started talking in great detail about his thoughts on James Comey's future regarding possible legal troubles......., and then a caller asked Rush if the "Deep State" will finally be dismantled and the bad actors put on trial, particularly Hilldawg.
Rush told the caller he understood his frustration but nothing earth shattering is going happen to any of the Swampers, the Swamp will survive because they will protect their own and the D.C. Elites believe if mass prosecutions take place against the "Deep State Skunks " it will shake the foundation of our democracy, it seemed to me like Rush agreed with the last point of his statement.
Rush, I respect your insight and gut instincts on most political issues but your wrong on this one...., the American people who truly care about this country, have already been shocked to the core about the undeniable two tier justice system. The only way this country can be restored is by mass prosecutions and jail time for the Swampers who thought they were above the law!

I think either we have to charge them or our country does NOT survive. The next time a Democrat or RINO takes power they will move to ensure they cannot be exposed and put in possible jeopardy like this again.

I have always thought it will get resolved the way cajunangelle surmises in the TPA thread. Deals get cut so the swamp backs off Trump, but the worst swamp people and violations are covered up in exchange for a few low-level people being taken down. Think of The Wire. Everyone has dirt on everyone, so the game just keeps on going without any huge revelations.
Rudy is an x-factor here. He is very swampy in some respects, but you know there is a part of him that would love to hand it to Hillary.

I agree antibarner, DC corruption must be purged or the Swampers will believe they have become "untouchables". I'm not sure how " we the people " ensure their demise but it will have to come from outside D.C. We sent Trump into to start the process and he needs to know the people who care about the survival of the country the way the founders framed it are ready to help anyway we can.

I agree with you but think Rush is correct about the future. Which to me leads to an eventual revolution of significant magnitude, in the next 30 yrs. Which is why the Deep State wants our guns.

We either lock enough of them up to show they cannot just do anything, or they WILL do anything. Had Hillary won, I think we would already be in the midst of a very bad place.

I actually hold Trump to account for this one. He was very clear on the campaign trail that if he were elected, he would pursue charges against Hillary. He hasn't, and it appears he never will.
He needs to. That would deal a major blow to the Swamp and those who think they are safe there. People only do what they reasonably think they can get away with, and right now there are many politicians who just think they're untouchable. It's sickening.

We are to blame for much of this.You do have to give the far Left credit for one thing. They are not afraid to make a hell of a lot of noise getup get out there in the streets and make themselves heard.

You're right, Trump has to carry most of the blame because he went in with an olive branch rather than a bull whip. He screwed up by hiring Sessions and not firing the top layers of the FBI/DOJ in the first week.

This is exactly what Julian Assange said a year and a half ago. He said if all the dirty laundry out there is exposed it would blow up our government. People scoffed at him because of his "hacker" status but it seems the ole boy was onto something.

You're either a Swamper or willfully ignoring what's happened the past 9 years. I could only imagine you as a crime scene investigator showing up to a burned out building and there's 3 gas cans and several burn out flares and you're scratching your head wondering what the accelerant was for the fire.
