OK, I’m a blue living in a red state.
If this is a divorce

1. I assume i have to move out of the house, right? I realize i’m surrounded by people who don’t like my kind but I’ve tried to be a good boy.

2. Since Louisiana is a community property state what do i get of equal value?

3. I have really close red friends. Just because Mama and Daddy want a divorce I guess us kids have no say so because we really like living close together and we get along together. I’m talking about us red and blue friends.

4. I love Louisiana and would hate living in any other blue state. I guess I’m back to #1. Can i still stay here and not be bullied and seen as an outcast or do i just need to move to the frigid north/northeast or to the west coast where all kinds of crazy crap happens all the time.

I think you could continue to live wherever you wanted man. Plenty of people live in places where they don’t agree with the prevailing political views.

Louisiana isn’t blue. It sounds like you’re just an attention whore that likes playing the role of the non conformist.

IDK where you live, but, you can move to New Orleans and enjoy the other Blue leaning people and the culcha it inspires.

If you're living in a nice area, its 99% likely because it has a majority of people leaning RED, or, indifferent.

Maybe you should reflect on why you think Blue politicians or ideology is better.

EYA: I'm not saying Red leaning ideology as a whole is the answer, but it sure as hell isn't spiraling humanity into the shitter.

Well mom normally gets the kids so you can go live with her on the west coast.

So you admit blue areas end up having “all kinds of crazy crap”. But continue to vote for the same thing?

Wtf?

The idea is that red states would be ran by republican officials with republican policies... not that all democrats will have to live in blue states and Republicans all in red states.

The policies would sort the population out though.. when red states are hard on crime and blue states are basically lawless, alot of the dems in red states would flock to the blue states and Republicans in blue states would flock to the red states

states arent red or blue.
the premise is a fallacy.

mtg is trying to be a demagogue.

florida has millions of registered democrats.

suppose 80% of the registered florida democrats vote 2024.
the house delegation will be democrats.

Texas Ohio and Indiana are similar.
if 80% of registered democrats in those states vote all the gop candidates lose in 2024.
obama carried indiana the first go. the gary and indianapolis suburbs turned out for obama.

No way it can happen like that unless we go back to something like the Articles of Confederation.

Most likely, we split into like 6 different regions/countries.

Go read the Kelly Turnbull series of books on Amazon. Discusses this phenomenon.

Far more likely you'll be treated with tolerance and respect than if you were a red in a blue state. That is a virtual certainty.

Red and blue is a dumb concept for national divorce. The labels don't provide much that will prove useful.

Give me a state that:

- is largely populated by Christians or those who appreciate Christian cultural contributions, and the government reflects the population in that regard
- in part of the above, enacts and maintains laws, regulations, etc. that reflect those values
- in part of the above, may, if it elects, use government to promote those public goods - ie, family policies like maternity leave, social safety nets, etc.

Sure, most of those people are probably going to be "red" but the last one is going to rub plenty of "red" folks the wrong way. But I think you'll see a lot of red/blue bright line things go out the window if you're talking about 15-25 million people of somewhat like mind/faith being governed vs. 350m who can't decide if men get periods or not.

New England can have some economically conservative areligious pseudo libertarian state,Upper Minnesota and Michigan can have a semi-Islamist caliphate, the west coast can have an assortment of progressive utopias, etc.

Sell your house and move to a blue state and buy a new one there. Was that so hard? Many reds will have to move too.

Not necessarily.
Live where you want to live.
Just know where you’re living
(which it sounds like you do).

You’re assuming the same couldn’t be said of the opposite outcome if 80% of registered Republicans voted?
