I purchased a Springfield 1911 .45 cal pistol. I can't wait to get it to the range. It's a beautiful weapon.

Did you buy the Parkerized finish or the stainless? I saw the stainless for the first time a few weeks ago, I had been unaware Springfield was making them.

I have a stainless Kimber 1911 .45 also. Another fine weapon.

I got a Ruger security 9 and I also bought a FN 509 LS Edge. Beautiful gun the 509 is. Went to get the Ruger 57 and bought these two instead.

Should've got their new Hi-Power, that's the one to get.

1911's are for boomers.

Welcome to the club! Love mine and need to shoot it. Unfortunately it's been a while.

I'm jealous. I have a Springfield buts it's a XD. The 1911 will always be my favorite though.

Was referring to 1911 pistol (.45ACP) manufactured by Kimber America.

Apologies for the typo resulting from my haste.

I love guns. My favorite hobby to do with friends, family.

Not a .45 fan per se, but nice purchase.

For all you guys that miss the Browning high power pistol, aka John Moses Browning's original P-35, Springfield has released the brand new SA-35, modernizing one of the most popular guns of all time.

Best of all, they are retailing the HP pistol for under $700 - beat that!

MSRP is under $700 but you'll be extremely lucky to find one at all, much less at MSRP, during the initial production. Definitely on my list but I'll give it a year to see if any issues crop up.
