Gotta agree.

Neither a Fiscal OR Social "Conservative". "America First" has always needed to include Social Conservatism AND tightening up the Borders AND Belts. Yet...0-3 there.

Honestly...I'd be shocked if there's even an Election.

IF there is one somehow, some how, some way I can envision Shadow Puppetmeisters scripting out Nikki's WWF-like entry, thereby "saving" the (R) party by "overcoming a flawed candidate."

Trump just took advantage of GOP apathy. Now its fragmented and drifting.

That was happening long, long before Trump announced in 2015. Trump actually breathed new life into the GOP.

Be that as it may, a vote for Trump — or any Republican candidate — is at best a vote for the status quo. Yet by any objective measure, the current trajectory is simply unsustainable.

At some point, gravity is going to take over and it is not going to be a soft landing for any of us. At this late stage, it indeed seems utter collapse is the goal.

"America First"

MAGA’s primary defect — and indeed the reason it ultimately will fail — is it does not address the underlying malady that ails this nation: our nation’s print-on-demand monetary system.

The Uniparty® exists to perpetuate the Deep State over every other concern and the Deep State exists to perpetuate our nation’s monetary system over every other concern.

Nothing — NOTHING — changes until this nation returns to sound monetary policies: as it stands, we can expect things to get much, much worse before they get better.

No they won’t. They are going to convince themselves that suburban voters won’t stand for banana republic prosecutions. When in reality the suburban voters are low information voters who will buy into propaganda that Trump is a felon.

Polling numbers will start to crater. Civil war breaks out in the GOP. Dem candidate, regardless of who it is at that point, just walks right into the office with massive majorities in the house and senate because the party civil war got Republicans slaughtered down ballot.

Whatever happens to Trump in the legal arena, blocking Haley from having an opportunity to maneuver herself into such a position is a worthwhile objective. That is why — with New Hampshire and South Carolina looming — I think DeSantis still can be a hero in the current drama.

If Haley should finish behind DeSantis in New Hampshire and then subsequently lose her home state, you can stick a fork in her campaign. Whatever your opinion of Trump or DeSantis, keeping Haley from gaining any momentum is a very good thing.

All those wishing for DeSantis to immediately drop out had best be careful about what they wish for: DeSantis needs to stay in until Haley is vanquished. DeSantis only needs some garlic and a wood stake to finish the job!

Desantis is my governor and I think he’d be a better president than trump. That’s really it. Nobody is using me. I will 100 percent vote for Ron in the Florida primary and back him until Trump wins the nomination.

I will vote for trump but I’m excited that we will have several more years as our governor in case trump doesn’t win. Living in Florida is awesome.

Nor do I. His campaign was co-opted by the power brokers and Trump haters. Since DeSantis needed their financial support, it opened the door for the co-opting. This is one huge thing that makes Trump different. He has “frick you money”. That is a RARE find, someone in his position who can’t be bought.

Yup. People are acting like total number of votes count in the primary. They don't. Hell, most of the early states are winner-take-all, so it doesn't matter if Trump wins by 1 vote or he gets all BUT 1 vote.

The more people in the race, the more it helps Trump, because his base isn't going anywhere.

“Jane! You ignorant slut!”

See how that works?

You can say what you like about Wednesday but she is not some mindless Trump CuLtiSt. Such polarization actually bolsters Wednesday’s point above.

The point here is that if you and Wednesday — both responsible regs imo — have a disagreement over DeSantis and Trump, it doesn’t mean you or her are blithering idiots. It means you have a disagreement …over DeSantis and Trump.

This absolute focus on the soap opera that is campaigns/campaign funding with zero concern about spending the f’n country into oblivion is getting to the point of loony tunes.

Do you understand that the guy that can’t be bought because he’s so rich spent Monday like a drunk wackjob Democrat while in office. Trump added nearly as much to the national debt in four years as Obama did in 8.

Why are you so worried about something DeSantis might that your guy has actually already done?

THIS is the way. I support DeSantis — as Governor of the Great State of Florida.

The minute DeSantis reached for the brass-ring of power in Washington D.C., the minute he became a part of the problem. Leave the Potomac Circus to the clowns.

I might join you in a few years. Especially if DeSantis governor. I’ve about had my fill of Mee-Maw.

Saavy observation. Under the radar.

Could/should have been address obviously back in 2016. Then again, not much was addressed that reversed ANY of the ongoing monkey business and demolition.

I'd agree on the "blocking" gambit if I didn't already believe this entire election process is just smoke & mirrors diversion and charade that's already been scripted -- decided from the Belly of the Beast in Brussels.

I think a lot of us understand the Game now. (even LESS real than any goofy "Reality Show" on Tee-Bee.)

The actors & script are ridiculous. (Potato-Joe again just threatened to punish America with F-16s for their unhappiness with a Soviet Banana Republic of America.)
