I didn’t realize how great a speaker Trump really is.

I’m serious. Think of the unhinged Dims on the debate stage...holding up their hands, blabbering away and sometimes completely incoherent and juxtaposition that to Trump’s presser this evening.

Trump is so good he kept the unhinged DimMedia from causing further COVID-19 chaos and panic by controlling them with his “cool as a cucumber” demeanor. Oh they tried their best to make the presser a shite show but Trump wasn’t having it. Great job Mr President!!

Let me go to CNN to read about how much of a disaster this is.

One would think the pseudo intellectual Dims could appreciate the KISS delivery......no they can’t because they believe using 4-5 syllable words makes someone seem really smart.

I'm a Trump fan but you're delusional. Just watching him vs. Pence in the presser was like night and day.

It didn’t do anything to calm the markets. Futures are down another 80+ bps tonight

What amazes me about Trump is the speed at which he processes a question and gives an answer.

One can like President Trump or dislike him. One can certainly love WHAT he says. But anyone who truly believes that his public speaking skill (HOW he says things) is even as high as two standard deviations BELOW the median is completely delusional.

He is simply an awful public speaker.

Listen to the public addresses of every president since it has been possible to record audio for posterity. There is exactly one president during that period whose public speaking skills even approach the nadir that is Donald Trump ... Bush-43. and even W is at least one or two standard deviations better than Trump.

Compared to the current Dem field, it is true that he does not look nearly as bad as when compared to previous presidents. Buttigieg is far, far better than Trump, and Biden is almost as bad as Trump (and possibly worse). Everyone else is above Trump and below Buttigieg.

yes, lots of people go to his rallies. They love to hear WHAT he has to say. That is not the same as asserting that he says it very well.

I agree but it is a shame you are just now noticing. He has delivered some great speeches. March of life was a good recent one.

anybody notice how tired he was. with the 12 hour offset between here and India and his 5 hr a day sleep schedule, he has to be exhausted. his prepared comments were flat toned, yet in the press q/a he pepped up

You’re just use to and prefer the stereotypical politician who can dazzle their audience with their pretentious BS.....that’s ok, it’s what many Americans prefer. I got over Trump’s clumsy speaking style because it’s not so much what he says but what he does....and I wasn’t comparing Trump to Pence, it was Trump to the Dims on the debate stage the other night....Trump’s presser tonight was like someone reciting Shakespeare vs the Dims reading a Mad magazine out loud to a room full of middle school youngsters.

Not really. There's a difference between being well spoken and effectively communicating. A person can be well spoken but they aren't effectively communicating if they are boring and people are tuning them out.

Nah, this is a pretty easy objective decision. The only people who think that he's a great public speaker are blind fanatics.

No one is expecting an objective opinion from you, so your viewpoint on this is irrelevant.

Maybe by traditional political standards but wake me up when Pence has kids in Jersey camping out for days to hear him speak or packs 100k into a cricket stadium in a foreign country.

Exactly! Aggie Hank talking bout how great an orator ButtButter is but I’m telling ya, I’ve listened to ButtButter several times....he uses a lot of words that one would expect from a political BS artist but many times when he finishes his thought you’re left wondering what the hell was he trying to convey.
