I didn’t expect anyone to actually come to the table with any sort of actual discussion, not surprised.
Not even surprised at the claims of treasonous sedition.
But the refusal of y’all to accept that your reality lives in THE swamp, that’s surprising.
For all the big talk and chest bumping that goes on on this echo chamber, I’d have thought that at least one of you would have the ability to reflect and realize that the very swamp you despise is also part of you.
The inner conflict and brutal self realization is all but gone when you’ve got everything to lose.
You are what you despise.
Not even surprised at the claims of treasonous sedition.

You DO realize that people own guns for a wide variety of reasons, none of which include the NRA - right? Your dumbass argument in this post suggests that you think otherwise, but I'm sure you know better and it's just a bad connection you didn't really think through. The NRA is a byproduct of people owning guns, owning guns is not a byproduct of the NRA.
You might find this shocking: it's possible to own one or more guns and not give two shits about the NRA. In fact, I think you'd find that the majority of gun owners couldn't care less about its existence or what they do on a regular basis.
You might also find this shocking too: a majority of gun owners would be ALL ABOUT gun laws meant to protect innocent lives, especially when it comes to our children. We just know that there already are many, many laws and systems in place to prevent a lot of the issues we've had that aren't being enforced properly as-is.
Don't you think that we should maybe enforce the laws that are already on the books, take the background check and verification system more seriously, and build a robust database of potential warning signs and afflicted individuals FIRST? We'll never know where every gun belongs to or who owns what, but we can certainly do a lot better in that regard than we have been.
I own 9 guns and I think 2 of them are actually on any kind of record connected to me, the rest were either given as gifts, acquired through inheritance, or purchased without verification - and I'm just ONE guy. We also have a lot of room to grow when it comes to mental illness and the ability to purchase firearms.
Criminals and school shooters will have ways to acquire guns whether they're off the street or 3D printed, a gun grab will NEVER work as intended and will simply cause more harm than good. We have many potential paths to take that don't lead to full on pandemonium and going against our constitution, all gun owners want is for those avenues to be explored with the utmost effort FIRST.
Why dems, liberals, progressives, WHATEVER you want to call them don't realize this and that this is our best path to success in all aspects is mind boggling. Why that side of the aisle bypassed all reasonable solutions and went straight for bans and removing guns from the populace is even more mind boggling and shows the rest of the world that you don't want an answer that doesn't involve taking the opposing side's guns. It's become a virtue signaling, personal-vendetta-ridden course of action now.

I’m just trying to figure out exactly where you’re coming from. The first half of the thread you were saying that unless we bring more gun control laws to the table the swamp was just gonna come and take our guns, and now you’re saying that the swamp and NRA are in it together and making a fortune off our love of guns and subsequent purchases and want to keep the trend going. So which is it?
